Our seismic research vessel Barbaros Hayreddin Paşa started offshore seismic operations under the TPIC Vessel Management Department as of February 7, 2018.
Within the scope of the “Marine Seismic Gravity – Magnetic Data Acquisition and Quality Control Services Agreement” signed with TPAO, TPIC continues its seismic exploration activities in our seas in line with TPAO timelines.
Under the leadership of our Ministry and within the framework of National Energy Policies, our vessel Barbaros Hayreddin Paşa, which has high-quality 3D data acquisition capacity, continues its operations with a qualified personnel team.
Completed Projects:
Our seismic research vessel Barbaros Hayreddin Paşa has collected 3D seismic data over an area of approximately 62,000 km² from 2018 to the present. The collected data covers regions within our areas of jurisdiction in both the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, and projects have been completed in the licensed blocks assigned to TPAO in our Blue Homeland.
Our Primary Objectives as the Vessel Management Department:
- To increase the ratio of Turkish personnel, which is currently at 90%, to 100%,
- To follow national and international offshore industry regulations and implement the necessary arrangements on board,
- To continue tracking technological innovations in marine seismic operations and to maintain our sustainable working system with up-to-date software and equipment,
- To continue following developments in the sector and to maintain our operations in vessel management in line with international standards.
